Understand, TRAUMA is real! My journey started with trauma from being molested at age 11 , where my weight started to fluctuate due to stress and anxiety as young person. At 17, I went to college and my weight became out of control; and I had no knowledge on how to address this issue.
Â
By the time I graduated, I was 180lbs. At 5”1’ I was considered obese and and decided to go on a weight loss journey and although I lost weight, my weight continued to fluctuate. As the weight went back on, my overall health suffered. I was covered in Lymph nodes, hair falling out and constantly feeling sick.
Â
2009 I was mishandled sexually! I went through another traumatic experience which caused my body to suffer even more. In addition, I was in a car accident that crushed the right side of my body, I was stressed at work, couldn't sleep and was overly anxious.
Â
Â
I was extremely overworked due to masking the pain of all the trauma I had experienced. I had multiple obligations, teaching, real estate, studying for my 2nd Master’s degree, working all the time, and helping everyone that needed it. I never knew how to say no! This led to a lot of physical and mental stress. I threw up daily, I had constant headaches, my blood pressure was unstable and my throat closed up which led to issues with me talking normally.
Â
That’s when my HEALING journey officially started in 2011.
